Clothing Moths in Your Home

Trap Moths in Three Simple Steps

The TERRO Clothes Moth Alert Trap attracts and traps clothes moths to help you locate their activity and prevent damage caused by their larvae. Convenient and easy to use, this natural pest control solution is your best defense against moths that cause costly damage to furniture and clothing.

The Clothes Moth Trap is an economical system that comes equipped with two lures and two traps - 1-2 traps are sufficient for an average-sized room. Each trap targets adult moths, giving you effective moth control that lasts up to 12 weeks. Traps help you locate adult moths and pinpoint a larvae infestation.

Adult clothes moths are approximately 3/8” long with golden or iridescent ivory wings. The shiny, cream-colored larvae are about 1/2-inch long and are often found feeding in clothing, upholstery and other textile-based home goods. Clothes moths favor dark, moist areas. Females lay eggs in clothing or upholstery so the larvae can nourish themselves as soon as they hatch. Clothes moths are destructive in the larval stage; larvae obtain moisture and nutrients from the perspiration and fibers in materials such as:

Open packet and drop pheromone lure into the hole on the bottom of trap. Lure will stick to the glue inside.

Place trap on an eye-level shelf or surface. Monitor trap for moth activity. Use 1 trap per average-sized closet or 1-2 traps per average-sized room.

Dispose of traps after 12 weeks of use, and replace them for continued moth monitoring.
