QUICK AND EASY TO USE
Help your new lawn get off to a great start with Scotts Turf Builder Liquid Starter Lawn Food. In less than 10 minutes, you can apply 3 weekly feedings to a 600 sq. ft. area to help your new grass grow thicker and quicker (vs. an unfed lawn). It's the perfect way to give your new grass the nutrients it needs to thrive.
How does this help new grass?
With NPK 7-12-15, phosphorus-rich Scotts Turf Builder Liquid Starter Lawn Food promotes early stage growth and root development, just what new grass needs. Nitrogen encourages growth and greening, and potassium supports turf resilience.
Is this safe for all grass types?
You can use this ready-to-spray liquid lawn fertilizer on any grass type. Plant your grass seed according to the instructions on the grass seed package, then apply your first round of fertilizer when you see the first signs of growth.
When should this starter lawn food be applied?
Make 3 feedings over 3 weeks. Start after seedlings sprout, make a second application one week later, and do the final feeding one week after that. The bottle shows you how much you need for each feeding (based on a 600 sq. ft. lawn).
How should liquid fertilizer be applied?
Just connect your garden hose to the hose-end sprayer, turn on the water, and begin spraying to feed and water your new grass at the same time. It's a simple way to grow grass quicker and thicker (vs an unfed lawn).
What helps grass seed germinate and establish?
For new lawn success, water daily or as needed after planting to keep soil moist until seedlings reach 2 inches in height. Wait to mow until grass is at least 3 inches tall. Transition to regular lawn food once your new grass is established.
