This all-purpose liquid fertilizer is for all grass types and both northern and southern lawns. With NPK 29-0-3, it's high in nitrogen and has other nutrients your grass needs to thrive. Just apply to actively growing turf for a thick, green lawn.
Can it be used on new lawns?
Scotts Turf Builder Liquid Lawn Food is for actively growing turf only, so grab it once your grass is established and ready for its first regular feeding. New lawns need a starter lawn food to nurture baby grass and roots.
Is this formula safe? What about pets?
When used as directed, this ready-to-spray liquid lawn food is safe for use around kids and pets (people and pets may re-enter the lawn immediately after application and product has dried).
How do I apply this product? Do I need any special equipment?
Application is simple. The bottle comes with a reusable hose-end sprayer. Just connect your garden hose, turn on the water, and start spraying to feed and water your yard at the same time. There's no watering in; you already did that!
How often should it be applied?
Apply liquid lawn fertilizer up to 4 times per year during active growth seasons: early spring for a greenup after winter, late spring to prep your lawn for summer heat and drought, summer to replenish nutrients, and fall to build strong roots.
