Clove and cottonseed oils are natural, plant-based substances that lack the harsh side effects of chemical pesticides. Extracted from cloves and cottonseeds, the oils leave no residues and kill mites through mechanical and biochemical processes.
Clove and cottonseed oils are gentle on a wide variety of poultry birds and work well as a treatment option. Spray directly onto the bedding, and you can also spray inside nesting boxes for laying hens.
These oils are safe to use outdoors.
Clove and cottonseed oils act as solutions for chicken mites. Daily use is recommended during infestations. Twice-weekly use is recommended for maintenance.
