As a microgreen, the cotyledons open green and change to a reddish purple on about day 4. It germinates quickly and is ready for harvest in 7 - 10 days. For the best color give cool temperatures. Outside in areas with a cool summer, plant in late spring in full sun. Red Tatsoi is a wonderful addition to the fall garden, overwintering in mild climates.
