To avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients, repot your tropicals annually.
Most tropicals prefer bright, indirect light. Place in a well-lit spot out of direct sun. East-facing windows offer gentle morning light ideal for many varieties.
Watch for yellow or brown patches on leaves, which may mean the plant is getting too much direct sun. Rotate your plant regularly so it grows evenly and soaks up the sun from all sides.
